Danshui Fisherman's Wharf 淡水漁人碼頭 and Lover's Bridge, Taiwan

This is part of the fun Taiwan travel series. View the full itinerary here.

Fisherman's Wharf is a leisure fishing port and a famous attraction in Danshui. It is said to have one of the best sunset views.

There are numerous hotels, restaurants and shops that could be found here.

We could see a lot of yachts and party boats docked along the pier.

Bird's eye view of the pier from Lover's Bridge.

The pier. There was a live band performing in one of the restaurants and the vocalist was pretty good. The singing could be heard all along the pier through speakers connected to the restaurant's PA system. Nice touch.

The Lover's Bridge.

I don't know if there's any better time to go there than sunset as this is the time where all the lights illuminate the wooden pathway and the famous Lover's Bridge.

It was a cloudy day so we did not get to see a spectacular sunset. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the sights and sounds and all agreed that it was a great place to hang out :)

How to go to Danshui Fisherman's Wharf:
From MRT Danshui Station, take New Taipei City Bus (Red 26), or buses 836, 937 to Fisherman's Wharf stop. Ferries also depart from the Danshui old street jetty.
