Taipei 101

This is part of the fun Taiwan travel series. View the full itinerary here.

From Dazzling Cafe - Pink, we resumed our leisurely exploration of the Zhongxiao area.

We made a brief stop at Wei Feng to buy some dried meat. After that we headed to Ice Monster for some shaved mango ice.

At Ice Monster, there was a minimum consumption fee for dine-in, so we opted for takeaway.
At TWD 250, the serving was huge! We didn't quite manage to finish it between the 2 of us.

Taipei 101 is reachable by walking but since the weather was getting a bit cold, we flagged a taxi.
After 5 minutes we have reached. Otherwise it would have taken us around half an hour.
(Taipei 101 can be reached by Red Line MRT now)

There's basically nothing much to do there except for photo taking opportunities and going up the observation deck.

For NT $400, you get to ride on the fastest elevator in the world and take in a birds eye view of Taipei :)

There are a lot of luxury stores and tourists in Taipei 101. Tourists are eligible for tax rebates if purchasing items above NT $300.

We didn't do much there except to ogle the display windows. Bo-ring.... I'm more used to shopping malls with everything from food to designer to household products. All-in-one lah.

And then it's on to our next stop - Shihlin!

How to go to Taipei 101:
Super simple - just take MRT red line to Taipei 101!

Previous: Dazzling Cafe - Pink | Next: Shihlin Night Market
